Activities :: Fire Investigation Dogs

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service currently have two active members of the Fire Investigation Dog Team. Three year old Rocky has become a vital part of the team, helping to sniff out accelerants like petrol to prove fires were started deliberately and when he’s not investigating fire scenes Rocky visits local schools to teach children about fire safety.

Sponsored by Bridgend-based insulation company Rockwool Plc, Rocky is one of only 15 fire investigation dogs in the UK. Rockwool’s sponsorship means that Rocky is able to provide successful results both in investigations and education programmes.

We are now looking for sponsorship for Springador Hunter, the newest member of the team. Your funding will not only help to look after Hunter on a day to day basis but will also ensure that your company name becomes associated with helping Firebrake Wales to put community fire safety into action.
