Arson Reduction :: Joint Arson Group

Firebrake Wales are proud to be administrating and be part of the all Wales Joint Arson Group (JAG). Firebrake Wales has worked with the group on a number of initiatives including the introduction of Business Arson Wardens and the setting up of the Arson Reduction Teams. In partnership witrh the group, Firebrake Wales hosts the annual JAG conferences.

Firebrake Wales worked closely with leaders in the three Fire & Rescue Services, Welsh Assembly Government, the Police Forces of Wales, Forestry Commission and other Key Partners, through the All Wales Joint Arson Group (JAG) on developing a comprehensive strategy for Arson Reduction.

The Wales Arson Reduction Strategy (WARS) sets ambitious targets for reducing the incidence of arson and deliberate fire setting in Wales. It is anticipated that this Strategy will be used to inform and provide guidance for those that are undertaking initiatives that focus on the reduction of arson and deliberate fire setting in Wales.
