Wales Arson Reduction Strategy 2012-2015

The purpose of this stakeholder consultation is to seek views and observations on the content of the new Arson Reduction Strategy for Wales.

Purpose

The all-Wales Joint Arson Group (JAG) is committed to achieving a sustained reduction in the incidence and impact of arson and in doing so to make a significant contribution to safer and more cohesive communities in Wales. The Wales Arson Reduction Strategy provides direction for individuals, organisations and other bodies that are seeking to address the problem of arson in Wales.

This consultation provides a draft of the proposed Wales Arson Reduction Strategy 2012-2015. You are invited to comment on its content

Background

The all-Wales Joint Arson Group (JAG) is formed of key Welsh agencies, sending out clear messages about the need to take collective responsibility for this community problem – a problem that can only be dealt with successfully through a collaborative approach.

The proposed Wales Arson Reduction Strategy for 2012-2015 sets out JAG’s vision for the coming years and identifies 6 key strategic priorities.
