Fire Risk in Europe Conference (21/22.06.10)
The 2010 Fire Risk in Europe Conference was held this week in Newcastle. The event was hosted by Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service in partnership with the ANSFR (Accidental, Natural and Social Fire Risk Assessment and Management) project partners from Denmark, Italy and Finland.
Firebrake Wales, the Welsh Fire Safety Charity, was pleased to be one of 12 organisations chosen to publicize their work, in poster form, at the conference. The poster presented an overview of the organisation which is unique both in Wales and the UK generally, as well some of the findings from their recent research into fire risk amongst vulnerable groups, many of whom are over-represented in fire casualty statistics.
