A new fire safety award scheme has been established, a new Firebrake e newsletter has been introduced and the team have been working towards the launch of the new Firebrake Wales website. Developing the BrandActing as a conduit in taking forward an all-Wales brand for Community Fire Safety Firebrake Wales has built upon the initial success of the Fire Flash campaign. Fire Flash now encompasses many different activities to give strength to the Fire Flash brand as the brand for Fire Safety in Wales. In the last year Firebrake has brought many initiatives and activities together under this umbrella to coordinate on an all-Wales basis, delivering one coordinated approach rather than each partner providing their own version. New 0800 NumberAs well as the high level Television and Radio Campaigns, Firebrake Wales together with its partners has launched the new National 0800 Number for Wales for the people of Wales to call for a free Home Fire Safety Check. New Bilingual Fire Safety Literature for WalesTwo new Fire Safety leaflets have also been launched to correspond with the Fire Flash campaigns. The leaflets are entitled “Celebrate Safely” and “Cook Safely”. This is the beginning of a suite of all new bilingual Fire Safety literature for Wales. Coordinating 4 different partners to produce 1 collaborative suite of literature and using one free phone number instead of each partner creating its own version. A cost effective all Wales approach to communicating with the people of Wales.
